The jealousy theory is IMO mostly unreasonable. Jacob/Juliet appeared on stage with Jackie twice (once at a live concert, once in the MOTM PBS special) and in one of her fancier music videos, too (Writing's On The Wall). And Jackie called J/J her first (or strongest, I forget the exact wording) supporter. There are interviews when Jackie was older where she acknowledged there was some jealousy from Juliet. I’m jealous of you Donk, I wish I could sing as good as you do:: www.instagram.com/reel/C3qrU-VO8B0/?igsh=eWdqenV0ZmtzejB1

I'll now look for whether there is a way to totally ignore some posters. There is. Just click Profile up top, then edit profile, and then privacy. One could add any registered names.

You really don‘t get it..it is not about her wishing..she is a nobody..relatively..PBS has no interest in working with her..same as big podcasts whatever have no interest..there are thousands of musicians in the USA who are now the same level..even are far more.. It is ridiculous to compare her to Rodrigo etc. .. same as comparing European farmer team football players..or even third league, 4th league. to Travis Kelce.. If there was not her AGT history.. as a kid.. she is an amateur…like Anastasia Lee…nothing professional.. there are thousands of higher quality produced EPs every year..by amateurs You do not have the perspective as one would have if they were born in the states and paid attention from the time she was on AGT, then PBS, etc and btw AGT should hire Jackie as a Mentor (similar to what they do with Idol). In germany in fall 2011, she had the opportunity to go on Carmen Nebel but instead was busy shooting a movie with Robert Redford. BME gained traction both on tik tok and on AC radio, and shes been seen at industry events. That is a big effing deal. Alot of her success was driven by TV specials and guest appearances as well as touring. It can be done but what the plans are we don't know. onlineradiobox.com/de/bluebell/(scroll down a little on that page)

Definitely, all those appearances on those TV shows carried her for miles. It would be really great for her to have a PBS Special again. The three that she did were fantastic. PBS probably won't go out on a limb creating another one until it looks as though her future is really bright again - hopefully sooner than later.

And they used the heck out of them for promotion and donations, so I don't know that they went out much on a limb. I think that for the 3rd, the label and the E's themselves paid more than half and did much of the work, accounting for it being geographically closer to them and far more modest in terms of guest performers.

I also believe that the first 3 specials were not going out on a limb - mostly because of her career trajectory at that time. But PBS probably would be going out on a limb if they contracted another special right now. It she's able to build on this new EP and introduce some good, new originals - then perhaps another special could work down the road. As a side question - is PBS mostly watched by Jackie's older fan target market? Perhaps that's why the first three specials worked so well. I don't know anything about PBS' demographics....so just wondering

Her Debbie Downer attitude is kind of funny I'm Tammy Truth-Teller. Debbie is my second cousin. We all know that Jackie could create a masterpiece only to be crapped all over by Disappointed. Jackie will never, and has never, created a masterpiece and never will. That's the main reason I point out that she never was musically talented or gifted. She was a child who could mimic opera songs, and happened to be in the right place at the right time, as opposed to other children who could do the exact same thing but weren't fortunate enough to have the timing. She reflects an unpleasant side of humanity What side is that? Up front honesty? LOL.

Although they don't specifically cater to the young or to pop lovers (or the old or classical lovers), but cover a variety wide enough that one might say it doesn't hang together. That's to be expected from something "public". blog.marketenginuity.com/who-watches-pbs-a-breakdown-of-demographics

It's the hate that is a big turnoff, but like I said, your Debbie Downer impression provides humor from time to time. No one said that Jackie would or could produce a masterpiece, but if she had that ability, you would take a big old dump on it - that's a given.

Probably not enough songs to tour on, but ya gotta hope she performs these songs with a real good band and not with some cheezy background tracks

Oh and by the way, Zero, you should have been turned into a tennis racket long ago. Not sorry to "disappoint" you, but catgut was never from cats, but from the highly processed small intestines of larger animals slaughtered anyway (sheep, goats, cattle, sometimes pigs or horses). Just like sausage skins were. Or chitlins (usually from pigs), if you're into that. So no actual cats were harmed making tennis rackets, or violin strings either. You're missing the point. I never said it had to be a good tennis racket.

Sometimes you people get so worked up about what someone else posted. Calm TF down for FS. Our little corner of the world is so insignificant that these arguments sound like squeaky little mice arguing over a pizza in a steamy wet sewer pipe in Manhattan. Just let things be as they are. Jesus Christ. It's not that important. Jackie wrote some songs, they got recorded, and they're available to download, stream or purchase. Pick one and STFU and listen.

You are exactly right DEFCON 2, the problem is some posters can be down right hateful! Disappointed falls in that category!
