I don’t like it when someone like Disappointed disrespects my favorite singer That's the difference between a fan forum and a music critic's forum. A fan forum is for discussions of angels, rainbows, butterflies and unicorns.

I don’t care I don’t like Jackie being trashed! I know this isn’t a fan forum! I just think 🤔 Saying Jackie is only qualified to flip burgers 🍔 is over the top! I am not asking Disappointed to be a Jackie fan, just be respectful!

I think she's just saying that to trigger you. Don't fall for it.

Yes Disappointed lives in my head It's really nice in here too! There's lots of empty space for all of my things and I get to live here rent free. Hard to beat that deal!

Hello SoCalFan, This post is offered as food-for-thought, but if I'm being honest with myself it contains a degree of criticism of how at times, this forum is run. Over time, I've offered opinions about how you are handling the forum fairly and at times, unfairly. Take these comments with a grain of salt because I believe you are doing a way better job than I could do trying to herd all the cats in the forum. The response you gave above is a good example of the ambiguity that is created in forums when the language "occasionally" or "often" or "sometimes" is used to set policy. If anyone has been parented by a mother or father that sets nebulous standards of behavior, the natural reaction of the child is to test the boundaries. If a parent says, "you can do a certain behavior "occasionally" before facing consequences", human nature will lead the child to continue it before trouble strikes. Personally, I think the forum would run a little better and would require you to intervene less, if policies were more clearly defined. Having a policy that uses language such as "occasional" leads users to believe that "occasional" breaches happen when the behavior annoys the moderator. My frustrations have risen at times when ambiguous policies are set. The point from which an ambiguous policy is created to the time that it is enforced, leads only to questions about the moderator's intentions. This is why more clearly defined policies and consistent enforcement mechanisms are needed. Thanks for trying to herd all of us cats that have very different stripes. Sorry, but I forgot to reply earlier. I always welcome suggestions and feedback. As I have said before, this forum is a lunatic asylum that is run by and for its inmates. To encourage the orderly exchange of ideas, the rules for this thread prohibit posts that are: derogatory, repetitive, or off-topic. Unfortunately, these are inherently subjective metrics and the problem is where specifically the line should be drawn. During times of heated debate, the limits are frequently stretched or even crossed. But overzealous enforcement of the rules would greatly reduce the most interesting (and controversial) posts in this forum. So it looks like we are stuck with my best (and imperfect) efforts to draw the line between free speech and unacceptable speech. If you can think of a better way of formulating and enforcing the rules, I would be most interested.

That’s the problem he isn’t helping Jackie get gigs ! Isn’t that what managers do ? JE problem is..that she did not work on her voice all the years..as a 10yo she was the cute blonde christian American dream girl..fake opera/ CC singing..now she is 24..nothing special..no real training, lack of technique, no professionalism in gigs etc. And it won‘t get better..having only 2 concerts per year.
