That’s the problem he isn’t helping Jackie get gigs ! Isn’t that what managers do ? JE problem is..that she did not work on her voice all the years..as a 10yo she was the cute blonde christian American dream girl..fake opera/ CC singing..now she is 24..nothing special..no real training, lack of technique, no professionalism in gigs etc. And it won‘t get better..having only 2 concerts per year. No what happened to Jackie is what would have happened to anyone trying to make it in the entertainment industry. If they had parents that made them anti-Social. Where would any of them be if they couldn't have fans their own age. This BS Jackie's OTTs spread over the years where she is better off having a fan base several times her age that doesn't even use social media will be good for her. There is probably literally millions of follows Jackie missed out on as she was growing up.

Darci Lynne had a mother that helped her daughter overcome problems with shyness and look at the results!

I agree donkey, you know first hand how good Jackie is by seeing her in person, to bad eulenspiegel can’t see her in person before attacking her! It is only wishful thinking that seeing Jackie in person makes a difference. The fact is that tens of thousands saw Jackie in concert during her glory years. But very few have come back to see her lately. I will say that while I was a fan long before seeing Jackie perform in person, hearing her sing live took it to another level. The power she can sing with when she wants to shocked me. I found myself whispering "wow" to myself several times. lol That’s the problem not many in this forum has see Jackie perform live, they go by Utube video’s which don’t do her justice! I have not seen her but I can see from the reaction of others that she is a incredible singer! If you are a Jackie fan like Donkey, watching Jackie live in person is indeed a dream come true. On the other hand, if you a not Jackie fan, watching Jackie live in person is an experience you would prefer not to subject yourself to. How good Jackie is has nothing to do with whether she is live or not. It has everything to do with whether you like her kind of music or not. The key point is that, unfortunately for Jackie, fewer and fewer people like her kind of music. Even the many people who once watched her live in concert are no longer buying concert tickets. Her decline has nothing to do with seeing her live.

"fake opera" - the problem is that only 5% or less (probably 2%) of people give a d@mn about opera. Individual arias and classical songs, without the projection needed if amplification is not used, are something more people can tolerate (maybe 10-15%) in small doses, mixed with not too incompatible pop, songs from musicals, etc. Opera would be nearly dead if it weren't subsidized. Not that I mind the relatively small subsidy to keep it from dying, but it's very limiting and limited.

the problem is that only 5% or less (probably 2%) of people give a d@mn about opera. I think it is much less than 2%. The US population is 333M, 2% would be 6.7M. I can't imagine it is as high as that.

Yeah...it's so statistically insignificant that it approaches zero. lol I think 2 percent might be closer the number of people who know who she is, recognize her name from the AGT days, or at least have heard her name from somewhere...just can't recall where.

I don’t care in a sense that it will prevent me from being a fan of Jackie’s! That’s all this forum does is say how nobody knows who Jackie Evancho is! So how does she get the 54 below gig ? Jackie is starting over, she is living in the 21 century not in a time before the internet 🛜! A person can become known quickly if the right button’s are pushed !

Like you say not many know who Jackie is, I don’t care if she discount it even more, bring in people to hear 👂 her! Maybe some will like what they hear and become fans and buy her music 🎶!

That discounted price is for today only. Even if sales are really poor right now, it's very early, I don't think they'd be panicking yet. Just hope that they don't cancel one of the nights and combine the two like last time.

Yes you have a point if someone has a negative opinion of her, nothing can change what they think 🤔! Almost nobody has a negative opinion of Jackie. To have a negative opinion, one must know her and very few people know her. For Jackie, it makes no difference whether a person (1) has a negative opinion, (2) has a neutral opinion, (3) does not know her, or (4) knew but forgot her. In all cases, that person will not stream her songs, buy her recordings or buy her concert tickets.

Let me know when she starts paying people money to attend. I might be interested if it's enough. Oh, and a free burger thrown in would be nice as well.

Just hope that they don't cancel one of the nights and combine the two like last time. Actually, the sale is tomorrow, Memorial Day. Nobody is panicking but the venue needs to be proactive about ticket sales. They can estimate the number of tickets that will be sold based on the pattern of sales so far. They are offering the 1 day sale to see how much additional sales it generates. If the response is not good enough, they may take further action such as offering more discounts or combining the two concerts. Jackie has a prime weekend spot (Fri and Sat evenings). They need to act early so that if they combine concerts, the replacement act will have enough time to get publicity and sell tickets.

I will wait and see the shows aren’t going on until the end of June, it’s a small venue, you are not having to sell 2500 seats ! I think 🤔 the discount should be more than one day, you want butts in seats , you don’t make a good omelet without breaking some eggs 🥚!
