How is she going to pay for all those concerts and her crew if she loses so much money on every concert like msims suggest. I wasnt suggesting A or B were losing money (I have no evidence), but C or D maybe. What other expenses there are such as hotels, flights, etc it adds up. Touring by bus is a way to save money. I don't know or care to know as shes not relevant and none of them are and you don't seem to care, you just spam. consequence.net/2022/11/lorde-touring-demented-struggle/Wren Graves November 10, 2022 | 5:31pm ET Lorde offered a “five minute explainer” on the “demented struggle” facing touring musicians in the latest edition of her newsletter. Via Stereogum, she wrote that “for artists, promoters and crews, things are at an almost unprecedented level of difficulty. It’s a storm of factors. Let’s start with three years’ worth of shows happening in one. Add global economic downturn, and then add the totally understandable wariness for concertgoers around health risks.” She also looked at “the logistical side,” with “immense crew shortages… overbooked trucks and tour buses and venues, inflated flight and accommodation costs, ongoing general COVID costs, and truly mindboggling freight costs. To freight a stage set across the world can cost up to three times the pre-pandemic price right now.” Lorde added, “ Ticket prices would have to increase to start accommodating even a little of this, but absolutely no one wants to charge their harried and extremely-compassionate-and-flexible audience any more f'ing money.” Lorde continued, “Profits being down across the board is fine for an artist like me. I’m lucky. But for pretty much every artist selling less tickets than I am, touring has become a demented struggle to break even or face debt. For some, touring is completely out of the question, even if they were to sell the whole thing out! The math doesn’t make sense. Understandably, all of this takes a toll — on crews, on promoters, and on artists. You’ll notice a ton of artists cancelling shows citing mental health concerns in the past year, and I really think the stress of this stuff is a factor — we’re a collection of the world’s most sensitive flowers who also spent the last two years inside, and maybe the task of creating a space where people’s pain and grief and jubilation can be held night after night with a razor thin profit margin and dozens of people to pay is feeling like a teeny bit much.” She ended the newsletter by thanking fans who came to her shows “in such mammoth numbers,” and said, “I wanted to put all of this in your minds to illustrate that nothing’s simple when it comes to touring at the moment, and if your faves are confusing you with their erratic moves, some of this could be playing a part.” Many artists have cancelled tours this year while citing rising costs and mental health, including Animal Collective, Santigold, Anthrax, Arlo Parks, Shawn Mendes, and Sam Fender. Revisit our recent essay, “Touring Has a Mental Health Problem. How Do We Fix It?” As for Lorde, in February and March she’ll take “The Solar Power Tour” to New Zealand and Australia. Tickets are available here. -- Has Rickky considered what kind of deal his favorites are signed to, and whether its a 360 deal, where the label takes a cut of her income? Thats one of the reasons why Jackie even though was selling albums was not making money until she toured.

I don't know about the others but Olivia Rodrigo was smart enough to surround herself by competent people from the beginning of her singing career unlike Taylor Swift . Olivia owns her own masters. I doubt if Jackie does as most don't. Taylor Swift has been in a battle trying to get the rights to a lot of her music.
Justin Bieber owned his own masters which he sold awhile back for $200,000,000. .

Msims, what is your point? What do you want? Who cares what Lorde says. What do you think Jackie should do? What's her next step? Enough with the Cazzes and the conspiracies and the former greatness of Jackie. Have some situational awareness and get your head out of the battle you're fighting that no one cares about.

LOL why would anyone ask Msims what Jackie should do now. He has been wrong on everything for the last 13 years.

consequence.net/2022/11/lorde-touring-demented-struggle/Lorde offered a “five minute explainer” on the “demented struggle” facing touring musicians in the latest edition of her newsletter. ... Thats one of the reasons why Jackie even though was selling albums was not making money until she toured. So you are saying that (1) for artists less successful than Lorde, touring loses money and (2) due to deals with the label, artists don't make money if they don't tour. So Jackie's career is doomed one way or the other.

Here is a new reaction to Jackie singing on AGT. If this grumpy old guy is impressed, perhaps there is hope for Disappointed after all. ROFL Of course he's "impressed". Like all of these schtick "reviewers", they are hoping to get views and subscribers from the fan bases of various singers. They are not going to say the person sucks or they don't like it. Their fans are not going to subscribe or watch their videos if they do. So they much and gush over them in order to get views and regular followers. They want clicks so they can make money. And this guy lives in Pittsburgh so he is not going to risk some crazed fans terrorizing him. Oh yeah, those review videos are legit and so important. LOL! Nice try there, "Donk"!. NOT! Start watching at 6:33 to the end. You know it's true, when you consider the lineup of singers Foster has worked with. So, all the singers he has worked with are great singers except for Jackie? LOL...I don't think so. "Jackie fits in with every, single, one of them (the great singers), she's just happens to be younger than the rest of them."

LOL...I don't think so. youtube.com/embed/6nu0KA1ed5g Foster: "I won't work with anybody that isn't a great singer. Which is why I'm working with Jackie." Which raises an interesting question. Foster hasn't worked with Jackie for many years now. In fact, he switched from Jackie to Laura Bretan. What does that say about what Foster thinks of Jackie now?

I just think David Foster goes for the latest flavor at a particular moment! Jackie’s time has past, time for the next flavor of the month!

I just think David Foster goes for the latest flavor at a particular moment! Jackie’s time has past, time for the next flavor of the month! Well, he worked with her when it made sense to work with her. She had just made the finals of AGT, had the countries attention, and they needed to strike while the iron was hot so to speak. He helped her launch her professional career.

So, all the singers he has worked with are great singers except for Jackie? He's a huckster who worked with a lot of singers. Some were great singers to begin with, others had a media hype or recognition behind them that he wanted to cash in on. Jackie was in the latter group. If he had thought she was such a great singer, he would have jumped to promote her when she was on his show prior to AGT. He didn't. That speaks volumes. Then he showed up to cash in, and cut and ran when he realized she really wasn't going to amount to anything once the circus left town.
