Yes they will. You can bet any OTT and gang going will have a ticket for both nights. So they will just be able to go to one instead of two. That should cover the difference. If a couple of people have their show cancelled and can't be booked into the other one, they will just get an apology (or not). The venue isn't going to swallow the loss instead. I don't think they will cancel a show. Why they won't: 1. If they replace Jackie with a new act, there will not be enough time to publicize and sell sufficient tickets for the new act. 2. The rent is already paid for that night. Also all the necessary staffing. Problem solved Olivia Rodrigo will be back at home in NYC on those days and her next concert when she is back in the states won't be until July 19th in Pittsburgh. I doubt if she will do it though for just 15 dollars a ticket unless they have excellent free food for her. It would be great advertisement for 54 Below if they want gen-z to replace some of their dwindling baby boomers. Who knows it might be a fun thing to do like when Olivia done the tiny desk concert. Pretty sure all the old people that bought tickets and don't like Olivia could double their money selling their tickets. It should be easier to fill a night club than 4 Madison Square Gardens even in short noticed.
Maybe Mike being the excellent manager some think he is could just trade Jackie's 54 Below concert with Olivia Wells Fargo Center concert in Pittsburgh. That is Jackie's home town surely the people who bought tickets for Wells Fargo Concert wouldn't care. Besides it would do good for Jackie to have her own concert with a 19,500 audience for once.
But the best part is Olivia already has sold out her Wells Fargo Concert so Jackie would just need to walk on stage and sing.

I can't remember how much advance warning people had when they combined the two nights.

I do recall they discounted the tickets significantly just before the combination. I also recall a Jackie concert being canceled a few years ago while some fans were already on the plane going there. It's all BUYER BEWARE. This is on the bottom of their website: © 2024 54 Below Inc. All rights reserved. All artists, acts, dates, and show listings may be subject to change at any time

I just checked the cat forum. She was at Below 54 in Sept 2022. On Sept 1 someone posted that the shows hadn't hit 50% sold, and that same day someone noticed that one had been cancelled. The shows were initially scheduled for Sept 13 and 14, so there was about a 2 week notice.

Also, Jackie's asking price might have been higher a few years ago.

Plus now they're practically giving the tickets away.

Give the tickets away if they have to, they can make money 💰 on the cost of food 🥘 and beverages! Just maybe some people who had never heard of Jackie might become fans! Nothing ventured nothing gained!

So non-profit/profit whatever you want to call it but its clear how they make their money: www.newyorktheatreguide.com/show/41327-americas-got-talents-jackie-evancho-my-story Please note there is a $25 food and beverage minimum.
There would be no money otherwise.

But 100 tickets would only be $1,500. Uncle Lenny and Stumphy find that under the couch cushion every day. And that is the most likely scenario, a bunch of those tickets gets bought by an OTT. Regardless of if there are 2 shows or one, it clearly shows she can't sell out a small restaurant/bar despite it being in a MAJOR city that she lived in, has a lot of buddies at the venue, has a new album she's touting, and has played all kinds of sympathy cards since the last time she was there. And yet she can only sell 70-80 seats unless the tickets almost get handed out for free. Bring on the nationwide tour! Simsy can be the promoter.

There would be no money otherwise. But Simsy, being that it is a well known restaurant/bar in New York, you would think they could get a few dozen regulars and patrons on the weekend even with no performer, and how many people who go out for the evening at a bar or restaurant spend less than $25? So how much extra money are they really making on that? LOL.

Can someone explain what it means for an artist and the venue to work for non-profit apposed to for-profit. I know the non-profit gets big tax breaks but their must be a lot more to it than that. If it is like some non-profit organizations it means the government has a say in what you do.
