What I love about this is that Colty disliked his own post. LMAO!!!! Wonder if this disparaging post will be deleted Nothing disparaging, just a humorus observation of fact. Kind of like: The amazing chart topping multi multi platinum selling greatest singer in the world can barely fill half the seats in a 147 seat club in New York City for a concert, despite it being attended by regulars, friends, family and OTTs.See? Nothing disparaging, just observing a humorus fact.

Less bitterness, toxicity, negative agenda, and a more fair accounting of reality. Jackie still sells seats by the hundreds in some venues (see OC, see Xmas concert, see April TX concert). The restaurant scene, ie. the Wineries and 54 Below, not so much. So this is to be expected. This venue is more of an opportunity for her to try out her Solla music in front of a live audience, as well as revisot some of the classic Jackie oldies.

I think everyone is missing the main thing from Jackie's interview. If Mike is moving to Italy does that mean Jackie could no longer afford to keep him on. What will Mike do in Italy, will Christina support him or do they have plans, maybe Mike will start some America to Italy travel agency. I am pretty sure Sophia Rose is probably living in Germany as she is with a German Modeling company and a German Management company plus the fact that she deleted her social media sites, I doubt that she could live in Italy and travel back and forth to Germany all the time. Will Jackie just take over the Condominium they lived in. This may just be the biggest change for Jackie since AGT. I hope it is for the good and she can get some good people behind her.

I've noticed that numbers get thrown around a lot in this forum (I'm as guilty as anyone) but there often is a lack of depth with just the numbers thrown there as proof of something. I want to give a little understanding of the most common statistics shown and how they can be misused. I will start with everyone's favorite stat: Spotify's monthly listeners.
The strength of this stat is that it gives a good barometer of change but can it give a misleading barometer of popularity. If you get your first hit record, your monthly listeners will skyrocket but it can be misleading since these may be people who are fans of your song but not necessarily fans of you. We all probably have songs we like by an artists we don't normally like. There are people who normally dislike Led Zeppelin but just happen to like "Stairway to Heaven" or "Kashmir."
A more telling example occurs with one hit wonder bands with lots of monthly listeners but all of them are for one or two songs. Modern English was basically an average 1980's new wave group who happened to once write a nearly perfect pop song (I Melt With You). Forty years later they have over 800,000 monthly listeners but they are all listening to that one song.
Modern English's popularity isn't in line with 800,000 listeners but "I Melt With You" is.
You can also be inflated by a song going viral for the same reason. Fleetwood Mac and Kate Bush are great artists with an incredible past but their numbers took a massive spike when "Dreams" (FM) and "Running Up That Hill" (KB) were featured in popular TV shows. Both raced up the charts and became hits all over again decades after their initial run. In those cases, it was more legit since these were all time greats but the spike was noticeable.
You can also get a boost by features. If you get a feature on a major artist's new hit record or that appears on yours, it will boost your monthly listeners total since that artist's fans will listen to the song. If you have tens of millions of monthly listeners but you did a duet with Taylor Swift and most of those listeners came from that song, it doesn't say much for your popularity.
One may also find that monthly listeners will decrease with a lack of recent releases. This is not necessarily a lack of interest but rather older songs being phased out of playlists without any new songs being added to playlists. Also, some of the more casual fans will tend to play the artist less with a dearth of releases and increase again when new releases appear. We can see this clearly with a major artist like Adele who has years between album releases.
The monthly listeners is valuable as a measure in possible popularity change and possibly popularity in general but only when you take into account factors such as those indicated above. It is reliable only when you take into consideration any possible extenuating circumstances and other statistics in concert.
Hope that helps.

In the above case, the omission is that the platinum recording occurred almost 14 years ago. Nobody would be surprised that things can and do change in 14 years.

I want to give a little understanding of the most common statistics shown and how they can be misused. I will start with everyone's favorite stat: Spotify's monthly listeners.
I think what is the most important for the artist is who owns their music. Monthly spotify listeners Olivia Rodrigo 52,951,492 Justin Bieber 74,251,128 Taylor Swift 99,599,191 Olivia makes more off her monthly listeners than Justin or Taylor because Olivia owns the Masters and rights to her music. Justin Bieber sold the rights to his music and Taylor Swift has been trying to get the right to her music back.
You can use the same thing about social media. Someone mentioned about Jennier Lopez had to cancel her tour. I have said several times that the best way to tell how someone is doing in the present is to see how many like they are getting now because most people do not unfollow someone they just lose interest in them.
A instagram post from J Lo 3 weeks ago
338k likes and she has 252,332,730 Instagram Followers.
a post from Jenna Ortega 2 weeds ago. 3,461,770 likes and she has 38,139,507 Instagram Followers
a post from Olivia Rodrigo 2 weeks ago 3,312,139 Likes and she has 37,511,907 Instagram Followers
Even though J Lo has about 3 times more Instagram Followers than both Jenna and Olivia put together, she is getting just a fraction of the likes they get. This is not just a fluke but you can see from her site that Jennifer Lopez is getting a fraction of people going to her site and liking her post as the other two.
I don't know why people have lost interest in J Lo but it is quite evident from her own site that they did.

I would not even mention that travesty if it weren't for the fact that is the first thing that is ALWAYS mentioned in any current concert promo or current interview. So it is fair game. If she shuts her yap about it, so will I.
