The problem is that not all facts are created equal. Some facts are misleading because of omission. In the above case, the omission is that the platinum recording occurred almost 14 years ago. Nobody would be surprised that things can and do change in 14 years. Yes I agree, and you know what? I would not even mention that travesty if it weren't for the fact that is the first thing that is ALWAYS mentioned in any current concert promo or current interview. So it is fair game. If she shuts her yap about it, so will I. Your "its not a legit platinum" argument was shot down in a huge fireball a day or two ago. Not sure how pretending that didn't happen works for you Disappointed. You think pretending it didnt happen will make it go away...like we will forget about it? ROFL Give up the ghost already, its just embarrassing.

She can't deny that her singing sold enough units to go platinum, even if you buy into the absurd notion that people who didn't want her cd bought it anyway so that they could get a 15 minute video of that person, whose cd you don't want, singing on AGT. Let's say every single person who bought it didnt want the cd and they all wanted the dvd instead. They still paid to hear her sing in platinum earning quantity, the four songs or so on the dvd instead of the four songs on the cd. So, if she wants to call it a platinum dvd of her music instead of a platinum cd of her music...all the power to her. ROFL

The only embarrassing thing, and the only huge fireball I have seen is your little girlfriend's so-called music career going down in a giant ball of flames, soon to be nothing but a pile of smoldering embers and ashes.

SEE being the operative word, which the DVD showed. They heard about the circus act on the news and wanted to see it for themselves. Most also bought it to show the circus act to others as a conversation piece and to use as a stocking stuffer for Christmas because many people had heard the big media hype and it was the latest in-thing at the time. So it was always much more about the novelty and hype than people actually being interested in her singing when it comes down to it. And that proved out over time because after the circus left town, the public had no interest in her singing and still don't. And never will again.

If there were any that didn't, I don't recall because something not mentioned doesn't stand out. She's NOT any worse than anyone else (give or take those who win awards or hit gold or platinum every few years at most...which is NOT typical, and NOT required to make a living). Promos are usually as far as one can go without outright lying. It's unfortunate, but there's scarcely a promo or ad out there for anyone or anything, including some supposedly high-minded things, that's not at least somewhat like that.

Nobody would be surprised that things can and do change in 14 years. David Foster's last Grammy was rewarded on February 13, 2011 when Buble won for his 2009 album Crazy Love, so what is your point? Facts are facts, there is no time limit on them. Every interview with DF mentions his accolades.
