Some random people on the street were given this news, and this camera captured their reactions. You used to be good about focusing on posts that pertained to your interests and ignoring the rest, but now you seem to be going out of your way to put down anything to do with Grace. Very sims like behavior. So? This might come as a surprise to you but NOT everyone likes Grace on here. |

FYI: There are 2 faithful Jackie fans here. Msims is one, So? is the other. So? is not msims. Msims usually posts as a member. If he posts as a guest, he usually keeps using his regular name.
So? is a female guest who posts under many names. If you see a pro-Jackie post by someone other than msims, it is likely to be So? or one of the other names she uses.
It is good to have faithful Jackie fans here, it adds to the diversity of opinions.

I thought he was very good too, but he didn't have a unique sound and sounded like other singers I had heard before. I thought that Jackie had him beat in the raw talent department, and stood out as having a more unique sound/voice than he did - that incredibly pure tone. Plus he was a lot older and had more experience singing...Jackie was very young and very undeveloped, yet still sounded like that. I think the older, hipper singer in the hipper genre is why he won. Jackie was the solid favorite to win that final...even Grimm was totally shocked when they announced he won...the look on his face when they announced him the winner said it all. Also, as I remember, he had a great sob story going for him...AGT voters and judges love that stuff. Jackie didn't have a competing sob story. I wasn't surprised at all that Grimm won, not because Jackie wasn't good, but because it's mostly young people who do the voting, and they, especially girls, prefer a guy with a guitar to a little opera singer. People who vote tend to vote for the person they like best, singing what they like best, not necessarily the person who's the most talented. Grimm saved his best performance for last, and Jackie quite honestly didn't. I have no issues with Grimm beating Jackie, and I did vote for her after Jackie's final performance. |

That raises the question: should the AGT winner be judged based on their finals performance or all their performances? It seems to me that the winner should be the contestant with the most talent, not the one that performed best on any specific occasion. |

However, many people vote on other things, like who has the best sob story, who has to overcome the most in life, etc. I think a lot of times the more talented people don't win, or even make the finals. As far as any one performance, the judges always talk about how the contestants need to up their game each round. So I can see how someone with more talent, but who had a subpar performance in a later round, could be eliminated if someone with not as much talent killed it in their performance. I do think that fans of some performers continue to vote for them each round, even if some performances aren't that great. But in any event, that's why I thought Jackie should have won in the finals. I thought that she had more unique and certainly raw talent than Grimm. That being said, Grimm did perform very well...so nothing against him. |
