I think Jackie’s health is the most important thing , her singing career is secondary in my opinion! Saying that singing is very important to her, being on stage gives her live meaning!

The reason I think she could overtake her is that Olivia is a mainstream pop artist while Billie is alt-pop. But surely Billie and Finneas could easily write songs that appeal to a larger mainstream pop audience if they chose to do so. Certainly, but so could Alanis and Lorde. It just turns out that alternative artists like to push the envelope and are not constrained by things like commercial viability. This "follow my muse" mentality leads them to intenionally change things with each album and not all their incarnations are commercially appealing.

So let's take a look at what Jackie might expect in streaming revenues in 2024. Her revenues from her prior efforts were streamed 4.5M times on Spotify last year. Now, I don't expect that material to do the same this year simply because the COT material was new then and will not be getting the same amount of streams. So I have to make a guess as to how it will affect her streams of earlier material and I will say the old material will be 90% of last year's levels. You could argue it could be higher or lower but I have to pick a number and 90% strikes me as being neither ridiculously high nor ridiculously low.
4.5M X .9 = 4.1M for older material on Spotify.
Now add in about 494K thus far for Solla plus BME 1.0. But this has been only part of the year and I will assume 30% of the streams are yet to come. So we have 494K + ((494K X 10)/7) = 494K + 706K = 1.2M
So we now have 4.1M + 1.2M and we have an estimate of 5.3M streams on Spotify. Spotify can range from 30% to 50% of an artists streams depending on the artist in question. If we assume Spotify makes up 30% of the streams, then the estimated total streams are 5.3M + ((5.3M X 10)/3) = 17.7M streams. At $0.003 per stream as a performer, this gives us $53,100 in streaming royalties. For 50%, the streams go down to 10.6M and the income to $31,800. This does not include any songwriting royalties she may accrue and any other income sources. It also ignores the mystery of how much of her early childhood earnings are available. That is known only to her, her family, and her accountant.
The point is that the doom and gloom is not really born out by a careful look. If you concentrate on her streaming numbers vs. Billie, Olivia, and Tate it will look pretty bad but it is not necessary that Jackie be a big star for her to make a living in music. I still believe she needs to get out as an opener for some established alt-pop artist. It doesn't have to top tier like Lana Del Ray or Florence and the Machine (although I would love it) but just someone with a name in that genre who have fans predisposed to liking the direction she is moving.

I'll put my two cents in on the whole drinking age question that I know must look really weird to people in Europe but there is something there besides puritanism. The US lowered its drinking age to 18 in the early 1970s and all hell broke loose. There suddenly was an epidemic of teenage drunk drivers killing innocent people and it had the after effect of not only a loss of life but auto insurance rates skyrocketing. It turns out (big surprise), people from 18-21 drink a lot. This isn't a problem in Europe where you can walk down to the local pub, get wasted, and stagger home. In the US, however, the sprawl is such that a vast majority of people have to drive to get to a bar. The US is a big place and unless you are in a major city, you are likely driving to work, driving to shop for food, driving to get a haircut, and driving to a bar. People from 18-21 don't handle booze as well as older people and are far more prone to not know when to stop. The whole fiasco ended up with movements like Mothers Against Drunk Driving pushing to raise the limit back to 21. I don't know what the right answer would be, but I thought I would point out the differences in the situations of American and Europe.

So let's take a look at what Jackie might expect in streaming revenues in 2024. Hey, let's just make up a bunch of BS without actually knowing any real facts or anything else. After all, that's the way of the world today.

You don’t have to be a top flight star to make a living in a field that Jackie loves ! You should have realized that long before joining this forum. Few musicians care about being famous, they just want to create and perform and some even behind the scenes as in producing.

That was before Jackie had her car accident, I am not going to use her past words to attack her now! So all that stuff didn’t happen, she didn’t cause the pandemic 😷 either in my opinion hurt her emotionally having to be cooped up in isolation and couldn’t perform!

You don’t have to create an empire to make a nice living! I believe with all of Jackie’s emotional and physical problems she now realizes she won’t be at the top of the heap, but wants to continue to write ✍️ music 🎶 and perform!
