Jackie was asked on her social media about moving away from "classical" she has done so for a long time and the fact is you could release something like Solla or Two Hearts Disc Two and go back to doing CC material because that is her choice.
Let's look at this from the perspective of another artist: Taylor Swift. Like Jackie, Taylor first achieved fame in a genre completely different from her most recent recordings. Like Jackie, Taylor still sings her songs from her older country albums when she performs live. Taylor even still records some songs with folk or country elements. Even though you might argue that Taylor is partially country in live performances, there has been no real country album of new material produced by her in years. No one would seriously consider Taylor Swift to be a country artist any longer.
Jackie still performs some of her past CC material live so you could argue she is partially a CC singer in her live performances. But she has not recorded any album you could consider CC since Two Hearts (Part I). Since then, her albums have been an LP of songs from contemporary musicals, a cover LP of folk/pop songs, and an alt/pop EP. If she were to record more CC material, then you could have a case of her still being a CC singer. But if she releases a few more albums of pop material, it would be pretty clear at that point that she considers that phase of her career to be behind her. Even if she still performs some of it, it would no longer be a living part of her music.

Fact: Her Parents set her up for success and she doesn't have to work as hard as the so called peers according to Rickky ...
If, by setting her up for success, you mean that Lisa went full stage mom calling people up, taking her to tryouts, going on the net to promote her to whoever would listen, etc., I would agree and it was important in launching the early stages of Jackie's career. If you mean setting her up for long term success, then that is dead wrong and the current state of her career speaks to it. There is a reason smart parents who have kids in showbiz hire people to manage their careers. That doesn't mean they just hand the kid over and it doesn't mean they can't accompany them when working, but you need someone who understands showbiz and how you can get ripped off. The idea is you have someone to keep handle the career while you handle the handler. You still can accompany the child when working (some supervision is usually required legally), but some parents are only interested in the money and don't care what happens. Some have even covered up abuse for a payout. I'm not talking about just trusting some showbiz guy but rather letting the showbiz guy get the best deal and try to find additional possibilities for performances and branding.
Consider someone like JoJo Siwa who, in my opinion is completely lacking in any talent apart from screaming at the top of her lungs. When it comes to being a stereotypical stage mom, JoJo's mother makes Lisa look subdued. She is even more obnoxious than JoJo. I truly believe the reason JoJo never got unhinged from Abby Lee Miller's abuse like the other girls on Dance Moms was that living with her mother made Abby pale in comparison. Yet, as obnoxious as she was, she understood she was in over her head and hired someone from the team that created the Olsen Twin's empire a few decades earlier and guided Hilary Duff some years after that along with a bunch of other teen stars. if you want to sell yourself to kids like breakfast cereal, these are the folks who can do it. Now I am not suggesting they should have hired that group (audience is way too different) but there are people who know how to drum up movie roles, voice over roles, etc.. I think with her singing voice, Jackie could have made lots of money at voice-overs for animated features. I also think that someone like that would not have allowed David Foster to walk away with most of the money for that album. You have to first know what you don't know and second see that 90% of two million is more than 100% of 1 million.
As far as others having to work harder, the reality is they worked more because they had more opportunities. Do you seriously think Jackie would have turned down movie roles or modeling gigs? Grace Vanderwaal essentially went on a four year vacation but could still get modeling gigs with Chanel, Yves St. Laurent, and Marc Jacobs in her spare time and make a few movies on the side. Do you really believe that had such opportunities to model for major fashion houses or have a role in a movie with a legendary director been available to Jackie, that she would have said "Thanks ... but no thanks"?

Caz-alla Harris bad news for the state of your panties: Jackie has booked a tour!!!! http://instagram.com/p/DAQ5PCNgnHf https://www.instagram.com/p/C71tAscR2ve Multi-platinum alt-pop trio Echosmith—siblings Sydney (vocals, keys), Noah (bass, vocals, production), and Graham Sierota (drums)—share vulnerable and vibrant alternative popanthems that immediately brighten the heart. As seasoned musicians with a decade of discography, they’ve achieved over 1 billion streams, international success, a ubiquitous hit song with “Cool Kids,” widespread critical acclaim, andperformed countless sold-out shows. After starting their careers so young and absorbing theinfluences and pressures of the industry, the band began to tap into their innermost artisticvision and ask themselves what kind of music they truly wanted to make. By leaning deeply intothe inherent risk of challenging expectations that were set for them andboldly engaging theprofound uncertainty of undergoing a self-imposed artistic evolution, they took full creativecontrol of their career with a newfound freedom and independence. Beginning with songwritingand producing solo (a first for the band), theyfound a form of therapy and a sense of enjoymentas they saw what organically transpired. The result is a left-of-center pop kaleidoscope ofcinematic alternative soundscapes, breezy pop hooks, resonant stories, and crystalline synthsthat embody the original indie spirit of the band. They released their self-titled album in the summer of 2023 and their two most recent tracks,“Feminine Rage” and “Jaded”, in July 2024. Featuring Sydney’s silky yet powerful vocals and agrandiose production by Noah, “Feminine Rage” is the next great female anthem for all the girlswho are done being people pleasers and over saying sorry for no reason. “Jaded” tells the storyof losing a friend or partner–someone you relied on in tough times and shared your best newswith, who is no longer there when you call. These recent releases continue to reveal the trueessence of Echosmith as young adults and as a family. They delve into their relationships, doubts, anxieties, spiritual journeys, feelings of self-empowerment, and evolving perspectiveson life after a phase of significant personal growth. The raw sincerity in their music inviteslisteners, old and new, to engage in their own honest experiences.

So its interesting how two people who disagree on everything were right: Jackie as a supporting act on a tour. Vincero! Either the Team was reading or its just coincidence. Either way, this is great!

This is great news and something I had been advocating since she started releasing music for Solla. This is a perfect chance to present her music in front of an alt-pop audience and make general headway in that genre. Echosmith is a very respected group among alt/pop acts and getting a gig to open up for them is a plum for someone trying to break into that genre. They also happen to be a group i like. For those unfamiliar with them, they are very influenced by groups like U2, Coldplay, The Smiths, and The Killers. The third act on the bill (Lisa Heller) is an alt/pop singer-songwriter who has a small but loyal audience.
This is their best known song:
The important thing here is that Jackie will not be under any major pressure to generate ticket sales and will not need to perform her CC material. She can perform her Solla material along with unreleased songs and supplement it, if needed, by covers in that genre she likes. It will also be a chance to work on her stage act for a pop audience and get comfortable trying new things out to see what works. Hopefully, she can hang out with the other performers and make friendships as all of the performers are in their 20s. Well, congrats to Jackie!!

It’s a chance to perform but how much money is it in for her. Is Mike going to be chaperoning her gig to gig? Is he getting paid?

Re: Jackie with Echosmith.
Sydney Sierota
In August 2024, Sydney changed her professional name to Sydney Quiseng, adopting the last name of her husband Cameron Quiseng, and began hinting on social media that she would be starting a solo career. Her debut single as a solo artist, “Wonder”, was released on September 13, 2024.
Named one of MTV's 2014 Artists to Watch, she is the lead singer of the alt-pop band Echosmith along with her three brothers Jamie, Noah, and Graham. They released the single "Cool Kids" in 2013.
Sounds like Echosmith's lead singer decided to go solo. Could Jackie be her replacement or is she an opening act. Well good news either way.

It looks like she's still with the group at the moment although that may be temporary. They are billing this as the decade tour so it might be a sort of farewell tour for the current group. It also may be that the remaining group might be up for auditioning a singer. Like you said, it can only be a plus for Jackie at this point.

Mike is probably staying in Italy with Christina. Besides, I can't imagine Mike being very comfortable hanging around with a bunch of Gen-Z types with neon hair that you are likely to see in droves at an Echosmith concert.
As for the pay, that is obviously going to be opening act money rather than headliner money. But this is not about making a killing - it's about making a move to get herself in front of audiences that might appreciate her new music and learning how to perform for those audiences. Apart from actually releasing a pop EP of originals, this is the most bold move she has made in going for the brass ring. The idea is get people to hear you and turn some in that audience to add you to the acts they follow.

Echosmith is managed by their father.
This will be a good chance for Jackie to sing all the favorites that the cool kids will be clamoring for, like Lords Prayer and Nessun Dorma. (Echosmith is or was a quasi-christian band). Anyway just kidding (I hope) about the church songs.
Seriously, this is a good chance for Jackie to perform all the songs on Solla. I hope she has a band and they've been rehearsing. Opening acts usually don't have a huge set, plus there's another name on the "with" list, so a set list will be easy to whip up.

Huge difference. Sounds like mabye she's the opening act. Not something I would travel to go see since Jackie would only be the opener, but I agree it would give her an audience to perform her Solla music in front of...which is really what she needs.

I shouldn't have said she joined a band, but rather she might be performing with one.
