For Coppola, the point was that he had wanted to make this movie for decades but no studio would risk it in a climate where audiences mainly attend movie remakes of their favorite Marvel comic books. Director Tim Burton said he waited 35 years for Jenna Ortega to be born to make BeetleJuice 2. Jenna is very popular with Gen-Z and is a friend of Maddie Ziegler.Jenna is known for making the Wednesday TicTok dance that went vireo. She shows why it is important as Social Fan said for a singer to have charisma, but it is not only important for a singer but just as important as an actor. BeetleJuice 2 was a risk, the original Beetlejuice came out 35 years ago. Most Gen-Z and people under 45 never seen it. Jenna also stared in Sabrina Carpenter's Music Video Taste that went Vireo. I knew as soon as I heard Jenna was in her music video it would hit over 1 million views the first day. screenrant.com/beetlejuice-2-box-office-global-milestone-300-million/IMO from what I seen of Megalopolis they tried to cram to much in to little time, it should have been made as a series spanning at least 8 episodes. Sounds like they had several story lines going on at the same time while building a new world also.

Sounds like they had several story lines going on at the same time while building a new world also.
They are different situations. Beetlejuice was made 35 years ago but it has been a popular film to stream and lots of people have seen it - including current teenagers. It stars two of the most popular teen actresses of different generations: Winona Ryder, who plays Jenna's mother, was the big teen star 35 years ago as she had the teen daughter role in the original and also had starring roles in Heathers and Edward Scissorhands. Plus, it is a comedy that you can go and have light-hearted fun. I saw it a week ago and it is hilarious. There were lots of mothers there with teenage daughters and everyone was enjoying it. BTW, Michael Keaton is as wacky in this as the original.
Megalopolis, on the other hand, is what amounts to an art film made on a blockbuster budget. It expects the audience to understand the culture of ancient Rome to get half the references. This even goes down to some of the character names. For example, the Adam Driver character (Cesar Catalina) references both Julius Caesar and Lucius Cataline - they were two Roman revolutionary figures who sought to overthrow the traditional republic which they viewed as corrupt. The Giancarlo Esposito character has the family name Cicero as did the conservative Roman orator and statesman who opposed both Catiline and Caesar. Even Grace's character (Vesta Sweetwater) and her entourage with the pledge of chastity to honor God is a reference to the Vestal Virgins who did the same. Like a lot of Coppola's more surreal films (e.g., Apocalypse Now), there are literary and historical references that will sail over the heads of the audience. But Apocalypse Now was set in Vietnam and released within a decade, so the audience could get it at a basic level. The Roman Empire set in a futuristic America is something else entirely.
As a side note, the filming of Apocalypse Now was a complete disaster and the movie nearly fell apart dozens of times. People actually died making that movie. It was also incredibly divisive where everyone loved or hated it. Now it is considered a masterpiece but not then. It made its real money as a cult film and still makes money to this day. It takes at least 20 years for everyone to figure out whether most of Coppola's films are any good. Everyone hated a musical drama he made called One From the Heart and were sure it was one of his worst movies, but now 50 years later, there is a reappraisement of the film and now they are looking at an artistic success. I don't know whether that will happen here but you never know.

Hr was part of the "outlaw" country music movement of the 1970s (basically an early roots movement for country) that also included Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Jr., and others who didn't care for the slick country songs of the "Nashville machine" and wrote and produced their own grittier version of country music. He was one of those people who was one of the best songwriters of the era but whose voice would turn off a lot of people - sort of a country Bob Dylan. You probably know his best songs by the versions done by pop, rock, and other country singers. This includes "Me and Bobby McGee" by Janis Joplin, "Sunday Morning Coming Down" by Johnny Cash, "Help Me Make It Through the Night" by Sammi Smith, "For the Good Times" by Ray Price, "Why Me" by Elvis Presley, and "Loving Her Was Easier (Than Anything I'll Ever Do Again)" by the Highwaymen. Like the other key figures in the outlaw movement, he is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. RIP Kris Kristofferson.

Sabrina Carpenter concert was at The Madison Square Garden, it was sold out. Selena Gomez was there. I would put Selena Gomez up there with Sabrina and Olivia Rodrigo. I like how these artist support each other yet Jackie seems not to want to have anything to do with them.
You would think Jackie would go to one of the large concerts when they come to town instead of going to small night club bands.

Oh stop 🛑 with the attack on Jackie, she doesn’t have the drive to be proactive with her career , again I blame Mike for the way Jackie was brought up! I love ❤️ Jackie’s voice and her not being proactive is not going to stop 🛑 that!

Grace is appearing on the Today Show Thursday to sing "What's Left of Me":
The show starts at 7AM Eastern, 10AM Pacific
The song has now been added to a second major Spotify Playlist. It is on Sad Hour (2 million followers) and Chill Pop (1.8 million followers). Each can add thousands of streams per day on a weekday and more on weekends. The song passed both 500k and the single she released six weeks earlier ("Call It What You Want") at 482k on Spotify. The song seems to have really hit a chord with a lot of people and the number of videos using on Tik Tok is now at 236. Â
She also did her look like a model thing in a video before going out on the town (from a fan page):
