It looks like Jackie's having fun on the road. Apparently so. But if Jackie was not having fun, wouldn't she have posted the same thing? Recall that when Jackie started touring more than a decade ago, she seemed to be thriving on the road. It would be much later when we found out that Lisa slept most of the time in their hotel room, Jackie was lonely and cooped up by herself in the room, and there were a number of encounters with creepy older men. |

Most things have downsides and upsides. Unexpected downsides (everything is unexpected at first to someone young enough) can be stressful. Sooner or later, one gets at least somewhat functionally past that, even if not to the point of really putting oneself out front in often semi-hostile circumstances like social media. Anyway, she's just about always seemed and said she enjoys the performing itself. And given that she can now work on her own material, she probably enjoys studio time to some degree as well. That doesn't preclude significant discomfort with some of what's needed to make that possible. But yes, while one can occasionally point out what sucks about one's chosen livelihood, it will be better received if one more often points out the upsides. |

I suppose that would work if she opened for some old band on their farewell tour (seem to be a lot of those now in venues the size of what she used to play, i.e. between 1 and 2 thousand). |
