On the bottom right hand corner notice a red box with a white arrow. Clicking this will take you from top to bottom and bottom to top depending where you are on the page.

If you would like to quote just part of a post you can do this now. Highlight the text you wish to quote and then click the Quick Quote popup that appears. Just the highlighted text will be quoted.

To Block (Ignore) a member go to the member's Profile. Click the gear icon after Send Message. Click Block Member. Check what you want to block and click Block Member. The member is Ignored. You can't do this with Guests because they have no Profile.

To Block (Ignore) a member go to the member's Profile. Click the gear icon after Send Message. Click Block Member. Check what you want to block and click Block Member. The member is Ignored. You can't do this with Guests because they have no Profile. This blocking system is better than Amazon, because you can select from among the following four actions. Hide this member's posts. Do not let this member start new conversations with me. Do not let this member follow me or my activities. Block notifications from this member. I presume if you use all of them, you can be here and anyone you block fully will not even see your posts to reply to them, and you won't be able to see theirs, either. In fact, if someone is obnoxious to too many people, and they all put him/her on ignore like this, it could eventually freeze that person out. No posts to see, no way to reply, no one to talk to at all. That person's posts will result in a defacto 'self-banning system'. One cautionary note: Overuse of this feature will have the effect of having all of us banned and painted into a corner with nothing to see/hear/do. NOTE TO ADMINS: The best way to quiet this form down [if it should need quieting down] might be to make sure guests must register to read or post so they can be subjected to blocking. [Too early in this process to worry too much just yet.] That way, this will be a self-moderated board.

Why bother belonging to a forum if you don't care what other's think?

Then you don't need this feature for yourself.
Much of the discord on Amazon came from a few posters who posted silly ad hominem attacks every 5 seconds and put people [fans and critics alike] in a bad mood. Use of this blocking feature can weed out that sort of behavior. This way, each person can decide for themselves who to 'ban' from their own personal universe without affecting any other reader [except the troublemaker].
Furthermore, it becomes a matter of self-interest for an abusive poster to change their ways, or be marginalized with nothing but the banner at the top of the page to look at.
Power to the people!

If you run across an acronym, for example AFAIK, hover your cursor over it and a pop up will appear that says As Far As I Know.

Just go back to the 'Profile" tab at the top, then... click on the "EDIT PROFILE" button at top right to edit your profile, then ... click on "privacy" then... scroll down to the list of any people you have restricted, and click on the 'x' associated with any name you with to ressurect and change or delete your prior settings.

I never block as my mind is open to all thoughts or opinions , that is how one knows what an how people think on a forum , some can not handle others thoughts or opinions of others so they run from them , some cowards block is what i have found .
