This blocking system is better than Amazon, because you can select from among the following four actions. Hide this member's posts. Do not let this member start new conversations with me. Do not let this member follow me or my activities. Block notifications from this member. I presume if you use all of them, you can be here and anyone you block fully will not even see your posts to reply to them, and you won't be able to see theirs, either. In fact, if someone is obnoxious to too many people, and they all put him/her on ignore like this, it could eventually freeze that person out. No posts to see, no way to reply, no one to talk to at all. That person's posts will result in a defacto 'self-banning system'. One cautionary note: Overuse of this feature will have the effect of having all of us banned and painted into a corner with nothing to see/hear/do. NOTE TO ADMINS: The best way to quiet this form down [if it should need quieting down] might be to make sure guests must register to read or post so they can be subjected to blocking. [Too early in this process to worry too much just yet.] That way, this will be a self-moderated board. Some of us don't block anyone and we read everything. Why bother belonging to a forum if you don't care what other's think? BINGO! So this system is already in place? Disappointed but at long as Guests can see EVERYTHING, you just have to log out and see the posts from someone who thinks they have you blocked from seeing their posts - correct? Works for me - as long as the public can see everything that's great - just like Amazon. Completely agree with jrchico: "Some of us don't block anyone and we read everything." If you don't want everyone to see what you post, you shouldn't post here.

More profanity. Admins delete the profanity picture but LEAVE the post Up and track the IP info. Rick - can you match the IP to someone who has ever been on your forum - include banned IPs?. I bet you can figure out who it is and send them a PM that you know who they are. Thanks.

I think I know who posted that. At least it fits the pattern of someone who posts on your site Rick. Even if socalfan wants this site to be mostly unmoderated, and I support that ideal and realize the need for such a Jackie site, just the announcement that this site will try to adhere to that ideal will attract sociopaths and the posts they bring. This is a time for deletion by the mods here.

Question: Is there a one click way to move from the end of a 'General Discussion' thread to the first unread post of the next 'General Discussion thread"?
Sort of like the up/down arrow?

Is there a way to stop the pages from scrolling all by themselves? It happens on Rick's forum as well.

I scroll down and it won't stop, it even keeps moving up while I'm trying to post a comment. The only time that's ever happened to me was here and on Rick's proboards forum and I think I read that someone else was having the same thing happen.

Thanks Rick. Bummer! I only use Chrome and 99% of the time I use my Chromebook and that's the only browser I can use on it. Odd that it only happens with proboards, it's maddening, drives me crazy, but at least I know what the problem is.

We can't embed Facebook photos or videos if we are using an adblocker. There are three ways around this issue. 1) Turn off your adblocker and then embed your Facebook photo or video. 2) Disable your adblocker for our domain jackie-amazon.proboards.com/3) Add our domain jackie-amazon.proboards.com/ to your adblocker white list.

Say you want to go to a specific page on a thread, say page 46. You go to the thread and it says this: 123456..73. How do you get to page 46? Click the two dots. Type in 46 and click okay. You are taken to page 46.

I'm having problems with quoting a part of someone's post. The 'quick quote' icon that appears doesn't stay long enough for me to click on it then the whole post is quoted.
