Some of us don't block anyone and we read everything. Why bother belonging to a forum if you don't care what other's think? I never block as my mind is open to all thoughts or opinions , that is how one knows what an how people think on a forum , some can not handle others thoughts or opinions of others so they run from them , some cowards block is what i have found . Other reasons people might wish to block is that some posters may be so predictable and so rarely post anything new as to be a waste of time; or may be constantly provocative with a similar theme, that it's more effective to refrain from rewarding them by responding, which is easier if one just doesn't see it. The risk of blocking such as those IMO, is not so much avoidance of ideas, but that once in awhile they might post something different, or even informative. From time to time, I seek out sources I know I'll disagree with, just to remain aware of what ideological or geopolitical adversaries might be up to; but I have to limit myself with that, because there's no point in being furious all the time. (yes, I choose to be narrow-minded about some things; those who would expect me to conform to them, don't get a place on my inclusiveness list) |

I'm having problems with quoting a part of someone's post. The 'quick quote' icon that appears doesn't stay long enough for me to click on it then the whole post is quoted. Glynis, this happens to me sometimes too. Just try again. |

SoCal, I have a suggestion: Rename the "Main Category" to "Jackie and Entertainment Industry"
Then rename Auxiliary Boards to "Off Topic" and move everything (including every sub board in Politics) to this category.
Result is simpler forum structure, and everything currently off topic in the Jackie/Entertainment can be move out.
Suggested structure:
Administrative
- Forum Rules
- Tech Issues
- Suggestion Box (new)
Jackie and Entertainment Industry (renamed from "Main Category")
- Main Board (now only for threads about Jackie and entertainment industry)
- Jackie Fan Board
- Other Artists (moved here from Auxiliary)
Off Topic (name change from "Auxiliary")
- (move the three politics boards here)
- "
- "
- Religion (new board)
- General Subjects of Interest (renamed board)
- BeachGuy (Delete. Move three threads to General Subjects. Move "Jackie through the ages thread" to Main Board
