It's not that Emanne isn't talented enough - she has impressed me as much as anyone on this year's program, but rather it's a demographic issue. When Grace Vanderwaal won, she had the "cute kid" vote to herself. Darci Lynn split the "cute kid" vote with Angelica Hale but she made up for it with the "I won't vote for a singer" crowd. Emanne has neither working for her and has the opera albatross going against her as well. I believe the biggest reason why Grace and Darci won was that they did original material. Their talent is not simply performing but also creating. I'd agree their creativity was the biggest factor in getting their vote, but both of those were very close votes. I remember Nick Cannon mentioning there was a small percentage difference between the top 3 when Grace won. The people who vote for a "cute kid" may have only been a small percentage but in that vote, it was probably the difference between her winning and losing. In Darci's case I am assuming the vote between her and Angelica Hale was rather close as both had been viewer favorites all along. They were both adorable kids but there is a sizable number of people who watch AGT that will not vote for singers. That may have put Darci over the top.

There have been several posts today giving opinions about JoJo Siwa and how much she is or isn't actually involved in her business enterprises, while also saying that the opinions expressed are not based on any real information ("I don't actually know anything about her, but this is what I think...). If anyone here is interested in information about whether she is or isn't involved, and if she is or isn't smart enough to make marketing decisions, here are a couple of recent articles that explain it. www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/jojo-siwa-glitter-covered-empire-849071/time.com/5658430/jojo-siwa/

Jackie hit 72k instagram followers the same time Kenzie hit 13m about 2 weeks ago. Now Jackie has 72,089 and Kenzie has 13,072,091 so in two weeks Kenzie gained more followers than Jackie's total amount of instagram followers. She is on a mission to get more that Maddie. Maybe Jackie could learn a thing or two from her.
I Believe Maddie and Kenzie just went on vacation lets see if they post on their vacation or just be like Jackie and act like it's nobody's business. Yes she has the right to shut everyone out just like everyone has a right not to follow or care about her.

Prior to her San Francisco concert, Grace was interviewed on a podcast and, as usual, she was far more thoughtful, interesting, and candid than her teen pop star peers. She discussed the struggles she has in moving her music forward in the way she wants without alienating fans who have supported her from the beginning. The segment with Grace begins around the 32 minute mark of the podcast: Her most recent Instagram post features a few photos from her LA concerts: http://instagr.am/p/B10Eb2QDc_7 She is really killing it on this tour. She has benefited greatly from her tours opening for major indie acts (Imagine Dragons and Florence & the Machine) and her current tour has been getting exceptional word-of-mouth and she has featured other indie acts (Jade Jackson and Patrick Martin) as openers rather than some "teen idol" type singer. While the crowds on her first tour were probably over half young girls, the crowds now are largely high school and college students and twenty somethings. In fact, the number of folks over 40 probably is as high as those under 15. It is safe to say she is no longer primarily an act for tweens and young teens. '
She has also benefited greatly from the free advertising fan-posted concert videos that have popped up all over YouTube the last few weeks and generated a great deal of interest. Her latest single "Waste My Time" has nearly 2 million views in a little over three weeks and perhaps more significantly has amassed over 116,000 likes. All of this despite having no radio airplay. It has all been done through high energy performances, hard work and the shrewd use of social media. Mainstream radio considers her an indie act with a cult following who doesn't fit their formula but they did the same for Billy Eilish until six months ago. Neither Billie or Grace fit their formula but when a "cult following" numbers in the millions, radio has to start playing them or they will find themselves irrelevant.
This is seen by how her YouTube channel has been adding hundreds of subscribers daily. Until recently it was adding a relatively small number each week but since the tour began she has been adding hundreds of subscribers each day and it seems to be picking up steam. So far today, she has added 1,307 subscribers and counting. Touring always can help but you have to know how to set it up and you have to get your followers excited - don't just expect them to generate excitement for you.

Yes Jackie miss out on what should have been her most productive years in building a large following.
You have to have a lot of content for people to want to see what you are doing daily. If you don't post for long periods of time people loose interest and find something else. Maybe Jackie is starting to see that now but it is to little too late. Grace and Kenzie are at the point even if they don't post anything there still will be a lot of content posted by their fans. As I have said several times once you get enough follows and subscribes you can easily self promote. I believe you need at least a million youtube follower and a million instagram followers. Which Grace and Kenzie hit a long time ago.

Maddie is putting a lot of her clothing on Poshmark to benefit her local charity. She does this about twice a year. Companies send boxes of their clothing to her to check out many of the items still have the tags. It all gets sold very quickly once it is posted.
They are just showing thing under $25 now but as the sale goes on they will add more to it.
Edit: now kenzie just put her clothing on Poshmark for a local Charity. No wonder they need a room size closet.
And to think of all the old things Jackie sells to her gullible old OTTs that will pay several times what it would cost new.

One of the things I think I need to repeat is that, in terms of turning around her career, Jackie does have plenty of time. She is only 19 years old and most successful stars do not have a major hit until their early to mid 20s. To think time has passed her by would be foolish to say the least. One could have said the same thing about Ariana Grande seven years ago.
I think we need to recall that even as dominant a figure in the pop world as Grande struggled mightily to be a success until she was older than Jackie is now. While she was on two series on Nickelodeon (Victorious and Sam and Cat), she had been trying to jump start a music career with limited success. She then began uploading covers of popular songs from different eras to her YouTube channel which gained her attention and demonstrated she had a remarkable vocal range. This got Republic Records interested enough to give her a shot and the rest is history. She has since released five albums with four making #1 on Billboard (the third album only made it to #2!) and all went platinum.
Now I am not suggesting Jackie will have a career like Ariana Grande but merely pointing out that she is very, very young in terms of popular music stardom. A Taylor Swift or Miley Cyrus who becomes a major pop star in their early teens is an anomaly - not the norm. Even younger teens having success now like Grace Vanderwaal are doing it on a smaller scale where they could potentially reach that level but haven't yet. Billie Eilish, the one obvious case who has made it to that level, made it big at 17 after being around a number of years and is thus not much younger than Jackie. The norm would be Ariana and Adele making it big at age 21, Lady Gaga and Meghan Trainor at age 22, Katy Perry making it big at age 24, and numerous others making it at 25 and up.
The reason I would not be optimistic at this point is that Jackie has not proven yet that she has the will and the determination to follow through when things are not going 100% her way. When things go even a little bit wrong, her history is more to fold and sulk rather than double down and work harder. She also has not demonstrated her willingness to take complete control of her career. There have been some encouraging signs of late, but I would need to see more follow through to think about jumping on that bandwagon.

Here is a moment you are unlikely to see on Jackie's forthcoming "tour" posted by a Grace fan from one of her LA shows:
Does anyone seriously believe Jackie wouldn't rather be doing something like this and getting that kind of reaction than singing "Nessum Dorma" for the millionth time to an audience so up in years that the only way you could tell someone was excited would be if their caretaker had to change their Depends?

Does she want it as bad as the others and is she willing to work for it. I haven't seen any indication she is. The fact that she complained about her Audience's enthusiasm tells me she doesn't have a clue what is needed.

I think we need to recall that even as dominant a figure in the pop world as Grande struggled mightily to be a success until she was older than Jackie is now. I don't think Grande is comparable to Jackie. When Grande was struggling she was a musical unknown; the public was not aware of her musical abilities and when they found out, they made her a star. Jackie, on the other hand is a known quantity; the public knew about her, and then decided they were no longer interested in her musical abilities. I think it is very unlikely that Jackie will be a star because the public already knows what she is capable of doing and has chosen to pass her by. The future possibilities of an unknown are wide open; the future possibilities of a known are much more predictable because there is a history. This doesn't imply that Jackie's career is doomed. It just means she won't be a star. One of the things I think I need to repeat is that, in terms of turning around her career, Jackie does have plenty of time. She is only 19 years old and most successful stars do not have a major hit until their early to mid 20s. To think time has passed her by would be foolish to say the least.Time has not passed her by. Jackie is going nowhere, she isn't in the league of any of those others you mentioned, in fact she is not even in the city, state or country where the league is located. Those people have actual talent, be it stage presence, songwriting, other attributes such as acting, dancing, playing an instrument, etc. And they are likeable to their peers. Plus daddy isn't permanently attached to their arm. Ever see a big pop star with that appendage? To be a big star, you need brains and work ethic. Jackie has neither, in fact had she not just happened to have been in the right place at the right time and had a perfect storm go in her favor on AGT, no one would have ever heard of her. There are many more deserving young talents who would have made the most of that opportunity, but just didn't have the timing. She already had her big lottery win, undeservedly so in my opinion. It's over, other than little supper clubs and taxpayer funded venues with ever diminishing crowds. Book it!

Plus daddy isn't permanently attached to their arm. I have not seen any sign of Mike around her lately. Either she is more independent now, or he is just keeping out of sight.
