the only way you could tell someone was excited would be if their caretaker had to change their Depends? Lucky for me, I can change my own Depends.

This confirms it Christina Turino is the one responsible for taking the better pictures and styling Jackie. From her site sounds like Jackie may have made some friends in NYC.

I recalled I had some positive things to say about Connie Talbot's future after a series of posts painting her career as dead in the water. I had to go search for it but I did find it:
Hey, you heard it here first

Plus daddy isn't permanently attached to their arm. I have not seen any sign of Mike around her lately. Either she is more independent now, or he is just keeping out of sight. .,.. or she canned his sorry butt ... or would that be setting our hopes too high?

I recalled I had some positive things to say about Connie Talbot's future after a series of posts painting her career as dead in the water. ... Hey, you heard it here first A good call there! Looking back a few tweets, I also noticed that she was on BGT The Champions a few days ago and had a breathtaking performance Sorry to be the bearer of sad tidings but: 1. Connie was eliminated from BGT Champions in the 1st round: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Britain%27s_Got_Talent:_The_ChampionsSo was Paul Potts. Neither was even in the top 4 out of 9 contestants. 2. Connie's itunes top 10 was based on a real-time snapshot taken today (9/1). She had just sung the very same song on the broadcast of BGT Champions last night (8/31). Real time sales charts are based on hours of sales and are therefore volatile; all it takes is a relatively low number of sales to have a big impact. So this is just a spike and not a meaningful metric. It will be interesting to see how well the song does on broader based metrics.

Sorry to be the bearer of sad tidingsThat's odd, you don't sound at all sorry. Connie was eliminated from BGT Champions in the 1st roundSince only one audience chosen contestant got to move on out of 8 after the sand artist got the Golden Buzzer, I don't think that was totally unexpected. Plus the Brits are dumb, they chose that stupid looking guy with the spiked hair to go through, even over Paul Potts. Totally nuts. Real time sales charts are based on hours of sales and are therefore volatile; all it takes is a relatively low number of sales to have a big impact.Gee, that sounds a lot like the argument we realists made about Jackie's albums on the iTunes Charts while everyone was popping champagne corks. Didn't seem to hold a lot of credence at that time. I will say this: Jackie has never had a top single on any chart and never will. And with Connie writing her own songs, playing her own instruments and being a lot better looking and more personable, I would give her a far far better chance of success. Book it!

Not getting ahead on BGT Champions is insignificant for Connie's future. The important thing is to get heard by people who might want to listen to your music. If you can get 2% of the viewership of a popular show willing to check you out, that is a big victory. The proof is in the pudding...some time ago I checked Spotify streams for girls we have mentioned on this thread. Whether you are being "checked out" is best seen by the "monthly listeners" - those who have listened to at least one track of this person's music in the last month. I remember the stats for Connie and Jackie were comparable - no surprise there - and I think Jackie had a slight lead. When I checked a few minutes ago, Jackie's monthly listeners stood at 141,656 while Connie's were now at 529,814. So people are listening in some significantly increasing numbers and since these are Spotify numbers, it is not just an itunes anomaly.
The key now is whether they keep listening. If her numbers crash and burn next month and she goes back to 150,000 then it was a blip. If they keep listening and her subscribers numbers start to rise in significant numbers, then she is adding significant numbers of fans. Even if her monthly listeners numbers flatten off at 250,000, that is a significant increase. Most importantly, she is making progress on her career and doing what she needs to do to establish a successful music career. Again, I am not predicting superstardom (I made that clear in my post a few months ago) but I do believe she can carve out a niche for herself among those who want to listen to a quality singer-songwriter with an excellent voice.
I might also add that Connie probably got on Simon Cowell's good side by appearing and giving a great performance. I am not sure if they have wild cards in BGT but she and/or Paul Potts could be added and Connie just might find herself with a label deal with Syco to get a second shot at stardom.

Here is one that you never see going back to these got talent shows even though she won Sweden's got talent in 2008 the same year Connie Talbot lost to Paul Pots on BGT. The best are not on those champion shows like they want you to believe. She is 21 now and would laugh at their invitations. LOL Jackie's OTTs laughed their butts off at her saying her belting out like that her voice wouldn't last a couple of years.
After she won on Sweden's got talent she basically disappeared off the radar and came to the USA 5 years later to make her move and get a contract.

Here is one that you never see going back to these got talent shows even though she won Sweden's got talent in 2008 the same year Connie Talbot lost to Paul Pots on BGT. The best are not on those champion shows like they want you to believe. For those who have been successful, it might make sense to appear for non-singers. Magicians, ventriloquists, and other variety acts do not get regular appearances on TV as do singers and comedians. Even if they are successful like Darci Lynn , a chance to be on TV and advertise their talents might be enticing. But for a singer, musician or comedian who is trying to move past the "talent show contestant" reputation, it is like getting left back in school. The only exception might be if they had some emotional attachment to the show or felt they owed Simon a favor for his help in their career. I think it is significant that the most popular winners in recent memory (Paul Fator and Grace Vanderwaal) did not bother with AGT Champions. Now both nice outs: Fator has a gig in Vegas and Grace was filming Stargirl but both could have been worked around if they had wanted to appear. It was no secret that Grace did not have any desire to go back to AGT as anything other than a performer and Fator had a similar position. I guarantee that if Jackie's career were not in the dumps, she would not have been there either.

Yes that is Zara Larsson they told her in the US basically to comeback in 5 years after the cute factor wears off.
She lost the cute factor but she isn't bad to look at which may be a factor in her success today.

Remember Lindsey Stirling turned them down also.
