We should make every possible effort to speak out against the Muslim ban, to fight for the survival of our planet, to stand alongside our undocumented neighbors, who are no longer safe in their homes, and to cheer on the LGBTQ community and women in their quests for fairness and equality. Once again, there is no liberty and justice for LGBTQ, for women, for the Muslims, and for our undocumented neighbors. So you will never catch me saying the Pledge Allegiance to the Flag, because that would make me a liar. jrchico, you called me an idiot. I do not mind that, except that you are an administrator and I hold you to a higher standard. Not that I, myself, have not used the word. I'm not an administrator. That is one of my problems with Trump, that his tweets come from my kindergarten class. He is the President. He should have a higher standard. Finally, my problem is not with Republicans, because George Herbert Walker Bush actually voted for Hillary. My problem is with the Trump voters, whose standards of conduct are below that of my kindergarten class.

I blocked him when he said that Kim Jong-un takes care of his people. If he believes that, there's no sense trying to even bother trying to talk to him. I'm inclined to believe that he doesn't believe most of what he says, he's just trolling.

And as for standards of conduct, wasn't it a Bernie supporter that shot up a Republican baseball practice? Should those be regarded as representative too? Just maybe, Trump is more brash and far less polished than anyone in recent memory, but that's no reason to suppose he doesn't know what he's doing, nor that those who voted for him were clueless or malicious. Oh, and GHWB: he's not the worst, but I haven't forgiven him yet for caving on "no new taxes". So all sorts of Presidents have said things they didn't think through well enough...to stick to, anyway. Not even counting Bill "depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is." |
