For those fans hopeful for Jackie's future career, the date August 10, 2019 might be a banner date. That was the last of Jackie's Instagram featuring what I would call her "insipid period" - where the posts were an endless series of supposed past glories and aimless selfies while begging for anyone to pay attention. After that post, her Instagram focused on her recent show at 54 below, her cover of Taylor Swift, and lots of fantasy material for johnnyb.  Even if you are not a fan of all the pics, it is a marked improvement over what preceded it.
So here's the big question:
Do you think that "little girl" video on August 10 irritated Jackie enough that it was the "last straw" and she finally took control of her own Instagram?

The second pic was added for humor and shock value. But it was her prom getup - not a Halloween costume. I have no expertise on rings of either the ear or nose variety to make a judgment so I will defer to yours. All rings (ear, nose, etc) are the same - clip ons don't require holes whereas regular rings require a pierced hole. Grace has no holes in her nose so her nose rings had to have been clip ons. She wore them for effect but only wanted something temporary. She does, however, have a permanent tattoo - a bit unusual for a 15 year old - of an elephant on her arm. If I recall correctly, Jackie had a wrist piercing at about the same age. That caused a slight stir on the Amazon forum: an angel with a piercing. Jackie also has a number of small tattoos but we don't know when she got them. |

Going back that looks like a very good possibility. Maybe Lisa posted that video.
Maybe she looked at her Instagram page and seen unlike what her OTTs preach these were her most popular instagrams Looks like she is giving the super loose shorts another try.

I don't know that it's all that unusual, all three of my kids had tattoos done in High School... with permission from Mom and I.
As far as Grace commenting on social issues, her positions on those things change nothing about the reason I follow her.
Whether I agree or not, she is entitled to her opinions, and they are likely to change with time and experience as well, so....

For more and more people, tattoos don't carry the social baggage that they once had. Now they are more widely accepted. Whether teens should get them can be a more sensitive issue. Here is a 16-year-old aspiring singer who already had a couple of small tattoos when I first stumbled across her instagram account a year ago, when she was 15. Since then, she has gotten more tattoos. Malu Trevejo was born in Havana, Cuba, then lived in Madrid, Spain, for 12 years, before relocating to Miami where she now lives. I expect the remainder of Jackie's career will be focused on establishing herself in some form of popular music and the older CC material will be dropped over that time as those who want to hear it drop into their graves. I agree that Jackie wants a career in popular music. Unfortunately, we don't always get what we want. I predict that she will not find success in popular music and will continue to rely heavily on CC (and its very close relative: showtunes). I should note that Jackie has been singing showtunes all her career. She got her start with Phantom of the Opera, she has released 2 albums exclusively filled with showtunes, and she sings showtunes in all her concerts. I predict that her career will be similar to Michael Feinstein's: CC, showtunes, cabaret. I think we are in agreement but are using terminology differently. I make a distinction between "popular" and "pop" (or more accurately "contemporary pop"): I use "pop music" for a specific genre currently associated with singers such as Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande; by "popular music", I mean a category of genres that are neither classical nor modern jazz. Thus when I state Jackie is moving into some form of popular music, I would include showtunes, cabaret, pre-rock pop standards, etc. I do agree that Jackie would probably prefer to be a contemporary pop star but that would be difficult to achieve. CC to me was a strange phenomenon that was embraced by a segment of the boomer generation and is dying with it. While showtunes, etc., also have fans in that older demograhic, it also has fans in other age ranges. The problem is that, while it is more demographically sustainable than CC, its audience might be even smaller and more geographically restricted than CC.
It might be advisable for Jackie to go the showtunes/cabaret route while attempting to widen her audience in more contemporary popular forms since it is much easier to navigate between than it would be with pop and CC. The objective would be less a Taylor Swift type popstar and more an updated Celine Dion. That would probably suit her voice better and perhaps open up some smaller venues in places like Vegas, etc. It would still appeal to a somewhat older demographic, but it would be one of adults in their 30s and up rather than strictly the senior citizens discount crowd.

Well she has a great chance ahead , read latest news on Taylor Swift ""LGBT " " , Jackie needs to get a letters to her about her sister and would really love a chance to do a duet with her ..you read it here !!!! Book It !!! I am not aware of any news that Swift wants to duet with Jackie. If Swift wants to show support for LGBT, Jackie would make a fine duet partner except for the fact that she is not lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. That you know of , use imo to be safe ..where have boy friends gone ? , Swift does not need to want , Jackie does plus Swift knows it would look good to the LGBT people if Jackie sheds some tears to her , it could work fine as they would do a few pop tunes . |

Swift has Todrick Hall as her ambassador to the LGBT community he is a very good friend of Maddie who helped give him his start.
How would doing anything with Jackie help Taylor Swift.

Jackie should have followed Kenzie's lead in how to gain social media followers, Kenzie said her goal is to catch Maddie and she is doing it. The question now is will Kenzie gain 50,000 new followers before Jackie gets her 50 back.
