Can someone explain what it means for an artist and the venue to work for non-profit apposed to for-profit. I know the non-profit gets big tax breaks but their must be a lot more to it than that. If it is like some non-profit organizations it means the government has a say in what you do. I don't know about something as small as 54/Below, but most orchestras have free community outreach events, including some that are specifically educational. Ticket prices might be lower than otherwise, given donations. There is a broad expectation that non-profits provide some sort of services. Those could be cultural or educational, too.

The ticket šļø prices are not the problem, the venue has done a poor job of advertising Jackieās shows , plus Jackie herself hasnāt gotten out pounding the pavement to try and drum š„ up business for the two shows she is doing! With the huge population of NYC, IT SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM SELLING OUT THOSE TWO NIGHTS, YOU HAVE A PLACE WERE YOU GET TO HAVE A NICE MEAL AND SEE SOME ENTERTAINMENT AS WELL! IF YOU HAVE NOT HEARD THINGS ARE EXPENSIVE IN NYC!

The problem is..that JE is a nobody in todays music businessā¦no one takes her seriousā¦even Emily Bear got many comments in recent weeks of suprised, shocked peopleā¦āOh you are the girl from Ellen Showā who suddenly discover that there is really talent. Most people watch these prodigy, talent, casting show for entertaunment. They think they are cute..but kind of no one expect that they really make it ..Jackie Evancho was only interesting for the masses as the cute blonde 10yoā¦same with Connie Talbot etc. etc. Btw. the normal NY citizen can have daily far more professional busker concerts in streets and subway. And most of them will wonder who the..is JE..and for tourists there are far better concerts..broadway..show. When will you realize ..there is no difference between JE and the likes of Anastasia Lee..who has a real educationā¦and a job. As we say n German āDer Zug ist abgefahrenā(Train has left) ā¦meaning..itās over..Game over There are thousands of wedding singers whatever who have better gigs. No promo will save the situation, careerā¦only a kind of lottery surprise winā¦but only with the same chances.. JE should take the rest of money that is hopefully there..and live a decent life.

Some of what you say is true, however, even today...far more people know who Jackie is than Anastasia...at least in America. And, Jackie can still get the occasional national t.v. appearance based on her past fame on AGT. And, a lot of very famous people who met with or worked with her actually know who Jackie is still. Jackie will likely always get gigs based on her legacy fame. It's the reinventing of herself that is the challenge...that is a long shot as I've often said. But she's young, nothing wrong with going for it. I think her original music is actually quite good...better than I expected from her. But singing is everything to her...she's not going to give it up anytime soon.

Mabye its almost viewed as a historical landmark, considering all the names who have performed there and it's history.

I donāt need an anti - Jackie poster like Eulenspiegel giving advice to a young woman at the age of 24, who lives to perform, you take away something she loves to do! That is no kind of life !

There are so many that got just a fraction of the exposure Jackie had and ran with it. Thanks to Jackie's Mom/Pop management Jackie was over 20 years old before she decide to stop trying to be a 10 year old to her old fans base. Jackie even said as much in her interview. (4:35) I said many times there are many entertainers that started even younger than Jackie and made it big as a singers or actor. But none of the Entertainers tried to hold on to their childhood way past time for them to grow up.
It think some of Jackie new songs are very good, but she just doesn't have the fan base or exposure to get them out there.

People tend to want to know they _can_ be edgy. That's fine, but I think it works best used lightly, for standing up for oneself, or for a story worth telling, not so much for much longer stretches than that.
That applies to a lot of extremes, probably. Cute can be fun too, but can definitely be over the top or overused or abused no less than edgy.

Usually when someone says someone is "giving" (giving the impression of) it's a response to the post. In other words, it's up to people who see her post to say that she's "giving Madonna" or whatever. I don't see Madonna vibes, it's not giving anything for me. It's just Jackie posing.

I recommend Eulenspiegel get a life and find a forum in his own homeland instead of spouting nonsense in this forum!

Jackie should be herself instead of posing a so called Madonna pose! She is trying to sell her original music after all ! Letās see a good Jackie pose!
