As far as the names you mentioned, the kids who were grabbed by Disney and made into stars...they all had a lot more self confidence, more interesting personalities, and stronger natural acting skills than Jackie had.
There were a few Disney child stars who were legitimately good at acting, but most were at best proficient or mediocre. Some were downright awful. As far as confidence goes, it doesn't really matter since it is the vehicle and not the person who matters at that stage. Sure, there are some Disney child stars who had a lot of confidence - the most recent example being Olivia Rodrigo. On the other hand, Lindsay Lohan was just the opposite and ended up a basket case. Somewhere in the middle, Selena Gomez had suffered from body image issues and panic attacks (kind of sounds like Jackie) but has managed to overcome them and is still a big star.
I am not saying she should have gone to Disney. There are good things and bad things. On the good side, it improves your chances at lasting stardom. On the bad side, they don't give a damn whether you have stardom beyond the few years they are milking your stardom for cash. They also don't care about your happiness or mental health before and after your tenure. You are a commodity and nothing more.
Well, it is a business after all...its all about $$$$ in the entertainment industry.

Jackie is far too used to be being the solo star with her own concerts and her own career. I don't really see her wanting to be reduced to opening for someone else with songs she seems to still lack confidence in singing live, even in front of her friendly fan base. To do what you suggest would require a total mindset change on her part, and a huge boost of confidence in her own material.
If she wants to change genres, she needs to realize that not all her old fans will be on board and she has to make new ones to grow. She also should realize her old fanbase isn't exactly packing the house anyway. If she wants to go back to CC, then do it. If she wants to be alt-pop, then do that. I don't see anything could coming out of the first option and her only chance at growth being the second option. But what I know will fail is this attempt at a hybrid that no one asked for ever.
Agree completely.

I'm talking about awards in the entertainment industry like a Grammy, Oscar, Emmy, or Tony awards. Jackie hasn't gotten there yet. However, she could talk to someone like Emily Bear and many others in her age range who already have done so.

Another risk for doing Disney is getting typecast. That has happened to many young actors over the years. Those days are long gone, mainly do to social media, young artist don't need large companies to get their music out. Disney did let Olivia Rodrigo out of her contract for "High School Musical" to pursue her singing career that would have delayed her for a year or so and she couldn't have done her "Sour Tour". Olivia also left Disney's music label. Olivia touts "Driver's License " as her debut song, but actually her first song she wrote was under Disney's label called "All I want" she wrote it in 3 days while doing the show. Notice the song is under Disney Label and that it got 235 million views. I guess they never should have told her they would let her write and sing a song for her "High School Musical series.
This is when it was first played for her series. I think if it was all about money they would have made her stick with her contract once they found out about Olivia's writing and singing skills.
In some ways, Jackie has already been typecast as the 10 year old with the big voice.

In some ways, Jackie has already been typecast as the 10 year old with the big voice. Yes you have to ask why is that and it all comes back to Mike and Lisa control over her in the last 13 years. Why doesn't any of the other celebrities that started at Jackie's age and younger have that problem. Jackie may never lose that 10 year old image. She sure isn't going to do it by singing the songs she sang 10 years ago.

Agree completely. Also agree completely. Pick one. I'd like to know whose idea this was, and what they hoped would come of it. Someone cooked up this concept of singing her life story, but why, especially at this point. Was it another effort to please everybody? Was it a condition of booking that she have a cabaret "show" to put on and this was all she could think of? If her objective is to create a blended fan base that will spring forth from fertile ground, I don't see that working out at all.

That is why Jackie is coming out with her own music! Some of the songs are such classics she will continue to do those songs, a lot of singers will sing 🎤 certain songs in their concerts for years to come along with new songs as well!

So that is the only thing the public associates with Jackie.

I have a feeling that this concept was meant to be a bridge to try to please all parties. As we have been saying, she's hardly attracting her old fans to a concert, and at the same time she's not acquiring new alt-pop fans to fill a venue. She did a good job singing both styles at 54 Below, but trying to do both cc and pop isn't a long-term solution. She's been floundering around for a couple of years now, and it looks like we can expect more of the same in the near future. It was nice to at least be able to talk about a concert gig, but unless she has more of them or she releases more material soon, there's not much for fans to get excited about.

Well, it is a business after all...its all about $$$$ in the entertainment industry. No it's not about $$$$ anymore and now would be the perfect time for Jackie to give them a call if they were once truly interest in Jackie.
Seems one of Maddie Ziegler's Moppet friends just turned Disney down for several movies. Jackie would be perfect for all these parts.

Its all about money with Disney executives, and Jackie cant act...we've covered this already. Now, if they just want her to sing Disney songs in a pretty dress, that's another story

How do we know Jackie can't act? If cast in something, an acting coach would work with her, and the director would draw out what is needed from her. Jackie is twenty-four, which is the best advantage she has now in pursuing new ideas.

Now, if they just want her to sing Disney songs in a pretty dress, that's another story No getting their WOKE agenda is their #1 priority that is why everything Disney is going down hill including Disney Land and Disney World. Their movies have been losing money for a long time and Jenna Ortega doesn't want to have any part of it unless they rewrite the script and take any WOKE parts out of it. Jenna was even called out by the writers guild because she changed the script several times making "Wednesday".

The whole problem of what to play is why I thought Jackie headlining concerts at this point was a bad idea. She should have sought a gig as a supporting act for some other alt-pop style singer. Not necessarily a major act like Lana Del Ray (that would be great but unlikely at this point) but one appearing in smaller halls. She could then appear before audiences predisposed to hear her new style. She would also have an "out" to avoid the old songs since this is strictly a contemporary pop concert - so long as she let everyone know ahead of time that would be the case. Her set would be smaller and she could fill in by testing out some unreleased or even unrecorded originals and covers of pop songs in the same genre. It would also give her a chance to develop her live performance in her new genre. Another problem with being an opening act is who would she open for? Not singers who perform in arenas, she's not a very big draw at this point in time.
