1. I'm not optimistic that someone who has not produced a hit or a semi-hit in 20 years can produce a hit. 2. But if I'm wrong and Greg has a hit left in him, wouldn't he use it for himself or his new band rather than give it to Jackie? Option C: there’s a writer named Stephan Moccio he was a fan of Jackie’s and even tweeted with her he was going to write her a song but he ended up writing Wrecking Ball, I don’t need to explain more. It’s always about the money. Of course it's about money so of course songwriters want their songs sung by popular singers who will earn the most money. It's their business, it's their livelihood, they're not a charity.

Are you saying that Stephan Moccio reneged on his intention to write a song for Jackie, and it was because he saw easier money writing with Miley Cyrus? Was it an either/or between Jackie or Miley? Maybe he just forgot about writing a song for her.

The difference between a hit (at least a minor one) and yawn could be in any or some combination of those; preferably but not necessarily all of them, of course. If Camp or someone with experience can help very effectively with arrangement and mixing, or even a bit with marketing, it may not matter if they haven't had any awesome concepts in awhile. If Greg Camp knows any magic tweaks, he has kept this skill well hidden for the last two decades.

NO Jackie posts in more than a week...a bit unusual.

DF’s biggest work was in the 90’s as well, he had some album hits since working with Jackie to say the least but certainly not number one hits. I could be mistaken but regardless CC is not exactly the path to working with the hottest hippest new producer and never was about that. Those last stories were in Nashville so I don’t think it’s crazy to think she’s back to writing. Why else would be she in Nashville? Certainly not Hawk Tuah’ing.

Donkey 🫏 it doesn’t help Jackie if the person she is working with doesn’t cut the mustard! Jackie is wasting her time and won’t gain any traction with her current situation!

I decided this was on-topic because the subject of what kind of personality you have to have to be a pop/rock star comes up a lot here. It is often suggested that being "edgy" is tantamount to moral decline or turpitude. This edgy hard rock band, The Warning, from Monterey Mexico, has got to be one of the most wholesome bands of their genre.

To suppose that if someone doesn't make a big splash at reasonably frequent intervals, they've lost the ability, is speculative at best. It's a competitive environment, and some people have other things to do sometimes (some decades, even) than full-on compete.

He has been working since Apr 2023 on producing Solla. During that time, he has made no songwriting suggestions that have made Solla popular. Could be make suggestions for future songs? Hope springs eternal.
